URGENT ANNOUNCEMENT: Pravah is organising the fourth annual International Summer School for young activists on 4-13 July 2005 at Mahindra United World College, Pune, India. CCS has been asked to nominate 5 students to participate in this exciting opportunity. The registration fees are Rs 3500. Participants will have to pay for their travel. Updates on Friends of Freedom groups CCS encourages graduates of seminars to form local groups on campus and their city called "Friends of Freedom." The FOF provides a chance for all seminar graduates of one city to interact with each other, deepen their understanding of liberal ideas and policies and also get other students onboard the freedom express!

Profiling 2004
To follow up with the graduates of CCS seminars and the internship and to make sure they do not forget us, we conduct an annual profiling of seminar participants and interns. We will first request all seminar participants and interns of 2004 batch to fill the first Profiling Questionnaire. Then 5 coordinators from five zones across the country will conduct a detailed profiling with the respondents. Swati Chawla (LACS Graduate 2004) will be the National Coordinator. She will coordinate with the regional coordinators and also prepare the final report. If you have attended a CCS seminar or worked with CCS as an intern in 2004 , please download the Profile 1 and fill in the first Profiling Questionnaire latest by June 30! The regional coordinators will contact you in July for the detailed profiling either in person if possible or by phone.

Yavnika Khanna's entry based on "Community Radio: Play on the songs of Liberty" (CCS Research Internship Paper 2004) was selected from 1000 videos and multimedia presentations from all over the world and she was invited to attend the 35th ISC-Symposium May 19-21, 2005 at St. Gallen University, St.Gallen, Switzerland. She received an exclusive invite to interact with Tata Group Chairman Ratan N Tata for an exclusive interactive session on the 21st May. The ISC-Symposium is entirely organised by the International Students' Committee (ISC) which is a non-profit organisation comprising team of students from the University of St. Gallen and Harvard University. The symposium is a platform to facilitate interaction between the leaders of today and the students who will be the leaders of tomorrow. If you have an achievement you want to share, such as competitions won, events participated in, articles published, grassroots activities initiated do email it to us!
