Feedback from Previous Interns

I’m really happy that I had the opportunity to do my internship at CCS and I truly appreciate all your efforts in this context. It is a matter of fact that through the research work at the centre I learned to know India much better than I would have as a tourist only. The contact and interaction with all the nice people at the centre were a valuable experience for me, too.

Eva Wiedrich, CCS Intern, September-December 2003

"If I were to describe my experience with CCS in one line I would say, ‘Two months of education.’ After all, I learned how to start a computer here! I learned how to use a photocopier and many other such small but useful things. For the first time I understood what responsibility really means. I learned how to work alone and, more importantly, how to work in a group. I learned that self-belief can take one places. I mean that literally: I went places for my projects! But most importantly, if LSS convinced me that liberalisation is a better way to redeem our economy, these two months have convinced me that it is the only way out."

Neha Swetambari, CCS Intern, Summer 2002

"CCS summer interns have benefited immensely, both personally and career wise. The six college students of the summer internship 2000, including myself, are now pursuing a variety of professions in prestigious places like: KPMG, Delhi School of Economics, IIMs, University of Warwick and London School of Economics. How did the CCS experience of help in racing up the ladder of success? During interviews and group discussions, we could impress the panellists with our knowledge and better understanding of economics and public policy issues. Furthermore, the research experience along with the articles and research papers gave a much-needed facelift to our resumes. I am sure that even in our careers the CCS experience would be of great help!"

Mayank Wadhwa, CCS Intern, Summer 2000 & 2001
