MSU ConferenceCentre for Civil Society and the LeFrak Forum and the Symposium on Science, Reason, & Modern Democracy, a privately funded research center in the Political Science Department at Michigan State University are organizing this two day conference in New Delhi, India from 4-5 Jan 2014 to explore the complex relation between moral values and free market economics.

Dierdre McCloskey, author of Bourgeois Dignity, Richard Epstein, Laurence A. Tisch Professor of Law at the New York University School of Law and John Tomasi, Professor of Political Science and Philosophy at Brown University will be among the speakers at the conference.

Jishnu DasJoin us for an intellectual evening with Jishnu Das, senior economist at the World Bank and visiting Fellow at the Center for Policy Research where he will explore educational markets in low-income countries and analyse the potential of these educational markets to change policy and make our education space more effective.

Dr Geeta Gandhi Kingdon, Professor at Institute of Education, University of London will comment on the paper and its policy implications.
